Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome. It is a natural emotional response to stress or perceived threats and can range from mild discomfort to intense fear or panic. While occasional anxiety is a normal part of life, persistent anxiety can interfere with daily activities and general sense of wellbeing.
Chronic anxiety can have a significant impact on mental and physical health, contributing to sleep difficulties, low-mood, as well as physical presentations such a restlessness or nausea.
External Support
Sometimes anxiety can feel very overwhelming - there is support available and you are not alone. If anxiety persists it is important to talk to a GP about this. See How do I register with a General Practitioner (GP)? if you are not currently registered. MIND has advice about talking to your GP on their website.
