We know that sometimes things happen that impact your studies. Please know there is always support available.

If you miss or fail assessments, or your performance has been significantly affected by a personal circumstance beyond your control, you can apply for Extenuating Circumstances. See these FAQs for more info:


Support at LSBU

  • The LSBU Mental Health and Wellbeing team can offer a safe and confidential space for you to talk and can help you figure out what a helpful next step could be. See this FAQ for more: How do I book an appointment with the Mental Health and Wellbeing team?
  • All students also have access to a free, secure, online self-help platform called Togetherall, which offers a space to anonymously share how you're feeling, as well as take courses such as 'managing stress'.
  • You can connect with a mental health professional (not an LSBU member of staff) if helpful. . You can sign up for free with your lsbu.ac.uk email address. Find out more here: What is Togetherall?

If you have experienced an incident of sexual violence, hate, harassment, bullying or discrimination, please let us know on the Report + Support platform. If you choose to leave your contact details, we will reach out within 1 day (Mon - Fri) with specialist support. What is Report and Support?
