There is plenty of support available to you.
For full information on our policies, procedures and support, please review our Student pregnancy, maternity, paternity, and adoption policy
You are of course welcome to book an appointment with various support teams.
Our senior student advisor team can advise on the financial support and funding that is available to you, and the process of taking a formal break from your studies (known as an interruption), if you would like to. Information on interruptions can be found here: I need a break from my course. What do I do?
If you do not wish to interrupt your studies, but you need or may need a bit of time and flexibility to manage your studies, it is really important you speak to your course team. Our senior advisors cannot facilitate this, but your course team can.
Our wellbeing team can support you too, if things ever feel overwhelming or if you just need someone to talk to. Please see the following article How do I book an appointment with the Mental Health and Wellbeing team?
If you are currently breastfeeding, and are coming onto campus we can add access to first aid rooms onto your ID card. You can then use these rooms any time you need to.
Please note, LSBU do not offer any childcare services whilst you are attending lectures or classes, however please do book in to speak to the support teams above, who can reccommend suitable services and/or funding for this.
